About Cheryl Kabala Studio
Simple weaving looms were developed in early 10,000 BC.The process has changed little to this day.
The uniqueness of my work is in the color combinations to create one-of-a-kind Southwest inspired designs into wearable art.
The rayon ric-rac/boucle yarns form a soft fabric and just the right amount of texture.
Inspiration for color combinations is from the Arizona desert, my back yard and over 40 years of working in textile art.
I have participated in and received numerous awards from juried art shows and galleries for over 40 years.
I have a Master of Arts degree in weaving and sculpture, studied silk painting at Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts and special studies in sculpture and art history in Lucca, Italy.
I owned and operated Fibers Studio & Gallery in Safety Harbor, FL.
